Azam face Simba in cup final





 

Vodacom Premier League Champions Simba SC will battle it out against Azam FC In the Urafiki Cup final this Thursday at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Simba secured their place in the final after 1-0 victory against Zanzibar All Stars in the Semi-finals thanks to a goal by Congolese International Midfielder Patrick Kanu.
League runners-up, Azam cruised into the finals after a 2-0 victory over Super Falcons at the Amani Stadium in Zanzibar. Azam goals were scored by Samir Haji Nuhu and Ivorian youngster Kipre Tchetche.
Meanwhile, Azam FC head coach Stewart Hall believes that his side can defeat the Msimbazi street boy, and secure their first silverware of the new campaign.
“Simba is good team, and they are the mainland champions. The game will be tough and very competitive, but Azam will shine at the end of the game,” said Hall.
